TANZANIA: Dream Cup League continues in Dar

Dar es Salaam Dream Cup League continued over the weekend with title favourites Chang’ombe Boys beating Don Bosco 90-77 in a fiercely fought encounter held at the National Indoor Stadium.
Chang’ombe Boys had a hard time to beat Don Bosco, who played a very tactical game.
Chang’ombe opened the match well, which earned them a 22-13 lead in the first quarter. Banking on long and accurate passes, Chang’ombe Boys managed to keep their opponents at the losing end in the three remaining quarters.
Before the breather Chang’ombe was leading 45-33 and extended their lead to 70-57 before the end of the third quarter.
Adam Jegame of Chang’ombe Boys was the top scorer of the match with 27 points.
Don Bosco relied on Mokulu Ngoy to score vital points. Ngoy scored 23 points followed by his team mate Allen Ngandu, who walked out with 21 points.
In another encounter on the same day, Chui beat Police Dar es Salaam 51-42 before T.M. Mkwawa beat Sinza Warriors 41-33.
The league will pick the three top teams that will play in this year’s edition of the Kili RBA League to be held in Dar es Salaam in August.
