Basketball in Africa

Monrovia — Youth of District 14 Montserrado County has called on Montserrado County Senatorial aspirant Robert A. Sirleaf to help build a basketball court in their community especially the Samuel Kanyon Doe community on the Bushrod Island.
Freeman B. Manubah Jr. speaking on behalf of the district youth said he is urging Mr. Sirleaf to help build a basketball court in their community because the district is very large and made up of both football and basketball players.
"Basketball is one of the most popular sports in Liberia and all over the world and Mr. Sirleaf himself is a basketball player, so we hope he will come to our aid and make our dreams come to reality."
Manubah said through Mr. Sirleaf's help several communities in and out of Montserrado County now have access to good football playing pitches and he thinks the same should be done for basketball players because there are several basketball players in all of the districts that he has built football pitches for.
