LIBERIA : Timberwolves President Upbeat

Newly promoted first division side, Timberwolves Basketball President Dr. Tobias Bowen, has vowed to clinch the Liberia Basketball Association's first division championship.
Speaking to reporters recently at his office on Bushrod Island in Monrovia, Dr. Bowen promised to do everything possible under his administration to capture the first division title this season.
"Despite we are new in this division, we are decisive to take the day if any chance comes on our way during the competition," he added.
The local sports administrator also disclosed plans to take young and potential players for greener pastures to Holland. Dr. Bowen said he has established link with a sports promoter based in Holland to shortly embark on evaluation of young talents on the team.
He pointed out that country such as Liberia where basketball is the second widely played sport, has no professional basketballers abroad. Dr. Bowen, a former Uhuru Kings Basketball Club star himself, said he is happy to give back to the country's basketball program, vowing to transform Timberwolves into a viable basketball club in the country.
"I'm directly involved in developing young players; that's why I threw my weight behind the club in scouting potential and discipline Liberian basketballers to move them to Europe to become professional athletes for the country", he said.
