NIGÉRIA : Union Bank through to final, confront Pillars
Host of FIBA Africa Zone-3 qualifiers Union Bank basketball club of Nigeria Sunday night book a place in the zonal elimination of Africa most prestigious club competition beating ASPAC basketball club of Benin by 82-71.
The zonal final will then be an all-Nigeria final as Kano Pillars basketball club had earlier qualified for the finals beating Togolese Swallows in the first semi-finals.
The Coach Ayinla Johnson tutored Union Bank basketball club curtailed the foray of the Cotonou, Benin-base won three of the four quarters of (19-18, 24-18, 19-12 and 20-23) to book a place in the final against Pillars who earlier in the month beat Union Bank by 87-85 points to lift the Nigeria premier league.
