EGYPT : Super 6 games

Al Gezira - Al Zamalek 79-63
After a bad beginnig, Al Gezira won the Game versus Zamalek 79-63
Starting from the very first minute Al Zamalek players put a big pressure jumping out to 7-0 lead, thanks mostly to good performance of Samir Gouda (217-C-72, agency: Interperformances).
He was not only the best player of Al Zamalek, but he also currently ...the tallest player in Africa. Al Gezira tried to catch up, but Al Zamalek managed to keep the leading ending first quarter 20-17.
Al Gezira woke up in the second quarter being lead by Rami Gunady (184-G-81), who got some important 2 and 3-pointers.
Al Zamalek's Wael Bader and Haitham El Said (198-F-82) tried to get back the lead, but it was too late. Al Gezira was 11 points ahead at the halftime.
Al Gezira did not slow down in the last two quarters. Ahmad Saker (209-C-75), Mohammed El Kerdani (195-F-77), Rami Gunady (184-G-81) and Khaled Hamdi from Al Gezira stopped the attacks of Al Zamalek's Wael Bader, Haitham El Said, Ahmed Fewzi and Ahmed Khaled.
Samir Gouda was successfully defended by by Ali El Ganiny (-C). Al Gezira won that important game with comfortable 79-63 and took back 2nd position in th eleague, while Al Zamalek and Al Ahly are tied on the first spot.
Al Gezira played without their coach assistant Tarek Mostafa after he was banned for 2 games by the Egyptian Basketball Federation. It was the result of previous fighting on the court. The federation also sanctioned the clubs of Al Ahly, Al Zamalek and Al Ittihad to play one game with "closed door" not allowing their fans to attend the game. It spplies to the games Ittihad vs Al Ahly, Al Zamalek vs Ittihad, Al Ahly vs Al Zamalek.
They punished also individual players (Tarek El Ghannam (212-C-78), Kidar Hneidawi (205-C-75) and Ibrahim Elgamal). Al Ahly supposed to pay 3 thousand for each of them. Then the fee was reduced to 1 thousand after the players confessed of their fault.

Al Ahly - Sporting 83-65
Al Ahly dominated antire game leaving no doubt which team was better. The players were very motivated after last week victory over league leader Al Zamalek.
Tarek El Ghannam defense was unstoppable and he allowed his teammates Ehab El Alfi and Islam Ali (185-G-78) (good 3-point shooters) keep outscoring weaker Sporting.
It's worth to mention very impressive games of youngsters Karim Deif and Mostafa El Shafie (195-G/F-84). 18-points victory allowed Al Ahly to tie on the leadership position with former single leader Al Zamalek, while both teams have 13 points.
Haitham Osama was the best player in Sporting and if not him, the difference would be even more striking.

Ittihad El Shorta - Al Ittihad
Very violent game between two aggressive teams.
Al Ittihad was without their leader Amir Abd Fanan (190-G/F-80). It gave them some serious difficulties in defending Ittihad El Shorta 100-93.
The game was very equal and especially first two quarters did not give bigger lead to any of the teams.
Thanks to more experience, Al Ittihad managed to get 7-points victory and jump to 4th position in the standings.
