KENYA : NBA Action Takes Centre Stage At Railways Club

SEVENTEEN matches are on the card as the Nairobi Basketball Association provincial league continues at Railways Club this weekend. With Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) having no premier leaguematches as top guns parade in Nakuru for the Labour Day tournament, the lower league tier will for once provide the weekend sparks.
Lead fixture has pitted Don Bosco boasting two time NBA scoring leader Joel Atebe against Dan Imbali's 4 Christ in what is clearly the game of the week. Four-Christ will also have their hands full against Mount Kenya University Nairobi. Ulnzi welcome Technical University of Kenya.
Daystar, who are relying on deadly Francis Wanaswa for points face Emya who in Ken Ondiek have a sure handed long range shooter to bank on. In last weeks matches, OldvPirates nipped Pandas 56-55 in an entertaining tie at Railways club. A last gasp three pointer by Aaron Abuya did the trick for Pirates who trailed for a long period. He wound up with 15 points. The rally was ignited by another three from Joseph Nyaga. Denis Mulili shot 21 for Pandas. Mount Kenya University (MKU) Nairobi 54-36, Strathmore whipped Woodley Knights 59-39. 4-Christ dismissed All Stars 65-42. Zetech College Thika Road pinned down Far Eastern Basketball (Feba) 61-54. Don Bosco beat Strathmore University 64-59.
