MALAWI : Sozobal Junior League Secures Sponsorship
Southern Zone Basketball Association (SOZOBAL) has secured a junior league sponsorship worth K1 million under the name Tradestone Commodities Sozobal Junior league. The revelation was made on Wednesday by Sozobal publicist, Kondwani Kabowa.
Kabowa said the participating teams will be Secondary Schools, High Schools and clubs with members under eighteen. He said prize money will range from number one up to three with medals being received.
"The sponsor will also give away individual awards like young upcoming award, league MVP, highest scorer award and best defensive player," said Kabowa. Kabowa concluded that currently they are still hunting for senior and ladies league sponsorship. "We will launch these leagues soon and we want to run them concurrently. Although the other two do not have sponsorship, we will still run the league using money we collect from registration up until we find sponsorship," he concluded.
