Kenya: Shimba Hills' Face Kinango in Kwale County Opening Tie
Defending boys basketball champions Shimba Hills have been pitted against Kinango in the Kwale County Secondary Schools Term One 'A' games which gets underway this morning at Matuga Girls. Shimba Hills are drawn in Group 'B' alongside Kinango and Lunga Lunga. The two-day championship brings together schools from Msambweni, Matuga and Kinango sub-counties.
Winners in the event will take part in the Coast regional event at Shimo la Tewa School and Shanzu Teachers' Training College next week. Pool 'A' has Mazeras, Kinondo and Kaya-Tiwi.
The girls category will feature Kinango, Lunga Lunga and Kaya Tiwi in Pool 'A' while defending champions Shimba Hills, Mazeras Memorial and Kingwede are in Pool 'B'. According to county secretary, Frederick Ndegwa, Shimba Girls will open their title defence against Mazeras Memorial as Kinango meet Kaya Tiwi.
