ZIMBABWE : Zambian Clubs in Bob Basketball Tourney

TWO basketball clubs from Zambia are expected to add a foreign flavour to the second edition of the Bob Basketball Tournament in Harare at the end of this month. Basketball Union of Zimbabwe director of competition, Forbes Shuva, yesterday said two men's teams from Zambia are set to take part in this tournament alongside some of the top Zimbabwean clubs.
"We are going to hold the Bob 90 Basketball Tournament on the weekend of February 28 to March 1 in Harare.
"So far we have invited two men's clubs from Zambia for the competition but at the present moment I do not have the names.
"We are also getting the top four teams from the Harare Basketball League while we will also get the top clubs from Bulawayo, Midlands and Manicaland provinces," said Shuva.
Cameo won the inaugural competition after beating JBC in the men's final and the HBA club is set to return as the defending champions.
"Besides the top men's and women' clubs, we are also bringing in eight high schools for both boys and girls competitions," said Shuva.
Shuva said BUZ have identified Arcadia and Richwood as possible venues to host the tournament meant to celebrate the life of President Mugabe.
Besides the basketball tournament, the football fraternity will also hold a Bob@ 90 Super Cup where Highlanders and Harare City will battle for the right to play giants Dynamos in the final
