Rwanda: Over 70 Players Picked for Basketball Junior Teams

RWANDA basketball federation (Ferwaba) has made the final selection of the Under -16 boys and Under-18 (boys and girls) teams for preparations ahead of the 2014 junior regional and international competitions.
Each team is comprised of 24 players and would be regularly followed up from their respective schools by a team of coaches headed by national team head coach Moise Mutokambali.Among the international competitions is the Fiba-Africa Under-18 Zone V championships scheduled for April in Kampala, Uganda, and the 2014 All Africa Youth Games to be held from May 22-31 in Gaborone, Botswana.
"A total of 72 players were selected and the next step will be following up on them from their respective schools to monitor their progress," Mutokambali told Times Sport on Monday.
