Griffin Ligare’s 19 points for Thunder proved vital as they squeezed a 68-63 win over a hard fighting Nairobi Aviation in a Kenya Basketball Federation Premier League match played on Saturday.
Paul Nyakinda also had 19 points on the opposite side with the Aviators putting up a hardworking second half performance though Thunder had already done the damage in the first half where they sneaked   to the break with a comfortable 37-22 lead.
Defending women champions Eagle Wings on the other hand continued with their title defense quest with an easy win over Western Delight humbling them 48-21 in a low scoring affair.
Fresh from their Nairobi ZUBL Conference title clinch, USIU Flames powered by Hilda Indasi’s defeated Mennonites 56-21.
