LAST season’s Airtel National Basketball League MVP Norman Blick wants more glory at his new club D-Mark Power.
The shooting machine will be in action today as his side faces ninth placed Ndejje University Angels at YMCA, Wandegeya
Blick has won five championships so far; Sky-Jammers (2001), Nkumba Marines (2005 and 2006), Dmark Power (2010) and Kyambogo Warriors (2012).
“I want to win more crowns but there is still a lot to be done as a team. We are focusing on winning each and every game in front us,” Blick stated.
This will be his second game for Power since his release from reigning champions Kyambogo Warriors was delayed. He made his bow in the side's last win over Victoria University Heaters.
Ndejje will look to last season regular season MVP Geoffrey Soro, guard Francis Tumusime and their new signing Steven Okias, for inspiration. Okias signed a three year contract with the university side after quitting Warriors where he played for 12 seasons.
In the other men’s game, last years' finalists Galaxy Falcons will take on Miracle Eagles.
In the women's category, defending champions KCCA Leopards will clash with A1 Challenge while Magic Stormers will host Gladiators in the opening encounter of the day.
Power currently lies second, two points behind leaders UCU Canons but a win will see them leapfrog the Mukono side to go top.
