KENYA : Barclays Eagles Soar Over Dolphins in Nairobi Tie
BARCLAYS Bank Eagles posted a 59-36 win over Dolphins in a Nairobi Basketball Association (NBA) league show at Railways Club. Michael Ngugi shot 23 points while Abel Kimondo added 15 for BBK. The losers had 13 from Kevin Oduor.
Multi Media University beat Old Pirates 61-44 as Fred Shitemi nailed 15 points for MMU while Aaron Abuya was on top form notching 20 that included five threes for the Pirates. In other matches, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUATS), Karen fell hard 37-58 to Dankind Academy. JKUATS Juja were also on the losing side going down 48-36 to Africa Nazarene University.
Friends of Basketball nipped Technical University of Kenya 39-38 in a closely fought duel. Legacy won 47-26 over King Deaf and Woodley Knights. Baraka Xtreme beat winless Dolphins 54-37. Don Bosco succumbed 35-45 to JKUATS Juja and ANU blanked TUK 57-43. In the women's matches, Buru Buru Girls embarrassed reigning champions Strathmore University 54-34. Mt. Kenya University Thika beat Zetech College 61-31 while JKUATS beat Predators 42-34.
