United States International University ladies basketball team showed no hangovers from their expeditions last night in the Zuku Universities league when they burnt down Mennonites 71-10 in a Kenya basketball Premier League match at Nyayo Gymnasium on Sunday.
The Flames also registered another huge win last night in the Zuku Universities league when they beat University of Nairobi 84-30.
The experienced ladies were dominant in all the quarters of the game with Mennonites left to watch as baskets flew in one after another. Flames took on the first set by 21 points with Mennonites failing to net in even a consolation. However, they tried in the second quarter to score four points while the Flames managed 15 to put the half time scores at 35-4.
The ladies from USIU continued in the third quarter winning 14-4 while they finished off the job with a 22-2 win in the last quarter.
Birthday girl Hilda Indasi who was later presented with a birthday cake by her team mates after the match was impressive as usual scoring ten points for her team, but it was Magnifique Magnifique who scored the most for the students netting in 14 points.
