KENYA : Co-op bounce back with win over mennonites

Defending KBF Premier League Champions Co-op Bank shook off last weekend’s defeat to Ulinzi Warriors when they overcame Mennonites 88-45 on Sunday afternoon at the Nyayo Gymnasium.
Co-op Bank took the 1st quarter 29-13 but slumped in the 2nd quarter with Mennonites taking with a close 14 points against the Bankers 11 putting the half time scores at 40-27 in favor of Co-op Bank.
In the 3rd quarter Co-op Bank came out more revitalized and they overwhelmed their opponents with a whooping 28 points against Mennonites 4 points. It was the same case in the last quarter Co-op Bank getting 24 points while their opponents had 10 points sealing an easy win for Cary Odhiambo’s side.
Collins Ouko was Mennonites’ top scorer with 14 points while Allan Ouma and Salim Ali sunk in 14 and 13 points respectively for Co-op Bank.
The Bankers have so far played four matches with two wins and two losses with the wins coming through the hands of league debutants Nakuru Club and Mennonites while the losses came from Thunder and Ulinzi respectively.
