Basketball in Africa

It's that time of the year when YMCA comes to life with the basketball tournament that pits teammates against one another and customary opponents will feature on the same side.
Well, that is what makes Friday Night Lights so much fun. To add to the fun, fans will have a chance to play alongside their favourite hoop stars this evening, so the basketball court is going to be on fire.
Radio & Weasel, Ruyonga and The Mith with the FNL 2013 theme song, Muliro, DJ Aludah and Mr Deejay will light up the courts with performances. And to wrap up the entertainment package are this season's MCs Val and Marcus of Capital FM that will add their wit and humour to the event.
Team Ikong will be looking to defend its title against a serious rival, Team Blick; this could turn out to be the biggest game of the night. Team Lk-four will take on Team Kasewu, Team Amoding vs Team KB08 (Komakech); and the opening game will be Team Malinga against Team Legends.
Last season, the court was graced by Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, Kampala Central MP Muhammad Nsereko, Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi, Brigadier Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Andrew Mwenda, Zari and Judith Heard, among others. This year's Friday Night Lights, sponsored by Castle Lite, Rwenzori Water, KCB Bank and K-Mobile, promises to be bigger and better.
Coming on board this season to sponsor are Samsung, Channel O and Capital FM.
