RWANDA : Two New Faces in Men Hoops Team

COACH Moise Mutokambali has added two players in his squad ahead of this year's Fiba Zone V Basketball Championships, which starts on January 21 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The two players are Cercle Sportif de Kigali's new signing Gedega Bunene Kajeguhakwa and Thierry Sukusuku, who plays for Lagnieu in the French third division.
Sukusuku, 24, who stands at 1,94', was born in Kigali to a Congolese father and a Rwandan mother.
"The two players are training with the rest of the team but there is no guarantee that they will be in my final team for the tournament. I added them in a bid to strength the provisional squad and it's upon them to stake their claim in the final team," Mutokambali told Times Sport yesterday.
Only one professional, Dan Rugamba, who plays for Seattle Community College in the USA has joined the training camp.
Others including; Canada-based Hamza Ruhezamihigo, Isom Cedric (Primiero do Agosto, Angola), Brannon Darrius (Corr. Victoria, Mexico) and Bradley Cameron Curtis (Mississippi Gulf Coast College, USA) are expected to enter camp this week, while Kenneth Gasana will arrive on January 14.
The team will be without two key star players Robert Thompson and Mathew Miller, who are currently without teams. Rwanda won the Zone V championships in 2011.
