KENYA : Indasi confident Kenya will qualify for AFCON

The National women basketball team assistant captain Hilda Indasi says the players are in the right shape of mind and fitness to stage a good performance in the forthcoming Zone 5 African Cup of Nations qualifiers to be held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The Kenyan teams commenced training in Nairobi last weekend and is coached by Ronnie Owino who also serves as the Chairman of the Nairobi Basketball Association. Silalei Shani from Eagle Wings is the captain of the side.
While speaking after the team’s Monday session at the Nyayo gymnasium Hilda who was voted the 2012 Kenya Basketball Federation Premier League most Valuable Player in the women’s category says, “We have very good and dedicated players. The morale is high and as we continue training am sure that we will have a good result in Tanzania.”
“We have been having very good performances at club level in the region and with the quality of players we have in camp , I am optimistic of a chance at the Cup of Nations.” She adds.
