2011 Kenya Basketball Federation women premier league Most Valuable Player Samba Mjomba says their match this afternoon against rivals KPA in Mombasa will not be an easy walk in the park especially considering Eagle Wings are playing away in Mombasa. The second match of the semi finals play offs will kick off at 3:00PM at the Makande Hall.
Eagle Wings won the first match of the best three played in Nairobi last weekend and a win for them on Saturday will push them to the finals slated for next weekend.
“KPA is a good side and being that they are playing at home, they won’t be easy to crack.” Samba says.
“But we have prepared well. We know each other very well and we have an idea of who to cut out. They have some very influential players we have to watch out and work hard to get as many points as possible in the first two quarters.” She adds.
Last season the two teams met in the finals and Eagle Wings emerged victorious. This year’s finals will be played in Nairobi next weekend and the winner of this match will play the winner of the match between USIU Flames and Coop Bank
