RWANDA : Former Champions Beat Host in National Basketball League
Former champions APR beat hosts Rusizi 90-57 on Sunday for their fourth win in five national basketball league matches played so far this season.
New signing Lionel Hakizimana was APR's top scorer with 15 points, while Rusizi's Cedar Sagamba scored a game high 18 points.
Rusizi has now lost all their five matches this season. They and newcomers 30-Plus remain the only teams without a win to their name. APR lost the opening match against Circle Sportif de Kigali CSK 50-49.
Reigning league champions Kigali Basketball Club maintained their unbeaten start to the season with for 84-74 win over Circle Sportif de Kigali on Saturday at Rafiki courts in Nyamirambo.
Meanwhile, Rwanda Basketball Federation have changed the days of the league matches from Saturday and Sunday to Friday and Saturday.
