RWANDA : Rwanda: Basketball Team to Pump Funds Into Agaciro
RWANDA basketball federation executive committee board has collected Rwf3m as contribution towards the Agaciro Development Fund.
According to the federation president, Désiré Mugwiza, the amount is in addition to the clubs' contribution and gate collections of the basketball tournament, which started last week and ends on Sunday at Amahoro Indoor Stadium courts.
The semi finals, in both the men and women categories, will be played on Saturday.
In the women's fray, APR will face Rwandans Allied for Peace (RAPP). Only two teams participated in the women's competition.
In the men's category, Kigali Basketball Club will meet APR in semi final while Espoir is waiting for the winner between CSK and UGB. In the one match played on Wednesday, KCB beat KIE 65-50.
After Football and Basketball, Volleyball is the other sports federation that plans to organise a competition to help raise funds for the national solidarity fund.
