KENYA : Samba and Indasi among All Star Basketball nominees

The September edition of the Friday Night Basketball will be an All star affair with selected players from different teams in the KBF Premier league, Division One and the NBA merging to form four teams (2 teams each for men and women) and participate in the ‘All Stars’ must watch encounter on Friday 7th September at the Nyayo National Stadium Basketball gymnasium.
Most Valuable Player in the 2011 KBF category Samba Mjomba and the recently crowned Most Valuable regional player Hilda Indasi of USIU are among the nominated players announced on Wednesday by the Kenya Basketball Federation.
Eagle Wings who were recently crowned champions in the Zone 5 Club Championship featured well with team captain Silalei Shani, Angela Okoth and Lucy Muchumbi also being nominated. Mfuchi Linda and Zipporah Awino of USIU will join Indasi in the squad.
In the men’s category KCB and Coop bank make the majority of players nominated with four from each team while USIU has two and Ulinzi One player.

The final list of the players to participating will be released on Thursday after confirming the availability of players.
