She is arguably among the top players in East Africa currently and her star keeps shining to better heights each day. USIU’s Hilda Indasi was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) during the just concluded Regional Zone 5 Basketball championships in Kampala Uganda where she featured for her former team KPA.
She was also the highest points’ scorer during the competition that was won by Kenya’s premier league defending champions Eagle Wings.
KPA coach Anthony Ojukwu rates her as the best player in the region crediting USIU’s good form to her prowess .USIU are currently leading the KBF League table having gone unbeaten throughout the first leg.Hilda and her USIU team mate Sarah Chan were part of the KPA team during the Zone 5 regional tournament.
“Hilda is enjoying the form of her life and she is undoubtedly the best player in the country currently. Her contribution helped us a lot in Kampala and we were lucky to have her in the team. She was voted the best player out of all the regional clubs present and was also the highest scorer which places her above the rest regionally.” Ojukwu says.
Hilda was also voted the best player of last season during the Code Red Basketball Awards earlier this year.
