Zetech basketball team coach Job Munene has admitted that the recent improvement in his sides’ performance in the league is courtesy of the new signings who recently joined the team. The duo of Brian Abuge and Brian Simiyu have been instrumental to the side that plays in the Nairobi Basketball Association League (Div 2).
The team currently enjoys 2nd place in the Zone A category with 36 points after 21 matches in which they have won 15. They had a terrible start to the season going for six matches without a win,
“Teams had started to write us off but we remained determined and resilient.” Coach Munene says.
“The new signings have been very crucial to our campaign and in the next season I hope to sign three more players. Competition in the team is now at its best and everybody has to work hard. If you slip you might not be able to come back since everybody wants a spot in the team and that will make us have a very strong team.” Munene concluded.
Zetech will on Thursday play in a friendly match against Athi River based Daystar University.
