KENYA : Nakuru Club and Nairobi Aviation neck to neck in Division one

After playing 14 matches in the Kenya Basketball Federation Division One League, Nairobi Aviation College and Nakuru Club are going neck to neck in the title race. Both teams have won 11 matches losing only three of them. They share 25 points and although according to the table standings Aviation is placed as the 1st team while Nakuru Club follows there is really nothing separating the two teams.
Over the weekend it was Aviation that was playing catch up and they made sure that Nakuru does not move away from their sights when they thrashed bottom placed African Nazarene University 85-25. On the other end ANU has continued with its dismal performance not winning any of its 12 matches in the league getting 12 points in the process.
KCA University is 3rd on the log with 24 points after losing to fellow students KU Pirates 44-48 on Sunday followed by Umoja who have 23 points after winning 9 of its 14 matches. Upper Hill and World Hope are at 5th and 6th in the standings sharing 22 points. Upper Hill was the team to continue ANU’s misery after thrashing the side 73-37 on Sunday while World Hope managed to beat Parklands Baptist 73-67. Kenya Airports Authority (7th) and Parkland Baptist (8th) also share the same number of points with the two teams having 21 points after 14 matche. Both have seven wins from the 14 matches.
Trailblazers who beat KU Pirates on Saturday 55-50 are 9th with 20 points while the Pirates follow them with 16 points same as EMYBA the team that is ahead of ANU. EMYBA has played 13 matches compared to KU who have played `12 winning only 4 of those.
