KPA point guard Alex Lugasi says his side is ready for USIU as the two teams meet on Saturday afternoon at the KPA gymnasium for a KBF premier league match starting 2:00PM.
In the first leg fixture played in Nairobi, USIU upset KPA with a 69-65 win in a tight match fixture with Lugasi scoring 19 points for his side,
“We are ready for USIU and the fact that we have the home advantage we shall do our best to make sure we win.” Lugasi says.
But he has always been tightly marked to shut him out and he knows the “Tigers” will do the same since he has been a constant threat to teams. Lugasi shrugs this off stating that he has a good team that can perform in any situation, “In a team that has people like Dan Okwiri and Abel Nson it is not a problem. They are people who can play make and in that case I can have the chance to play my game.”
The match will for sure prove to be an exciting encounter since USIU has the likes of Evans Leting and Ramadhan Arou, outstanding players who recently featured for the Nairobi select side in the All Stars Edition of Friday Night Basketball while KPA apart from Lugasi has veteran Dan Okwiri who was named MVP in the competition (Friday Night Basketball) and another danger man Nson who shifted alliances from Co-op Bank to KPA.
