KENYA : Little Prince, Strathmore lead in NBA League

The Nairobi Basketball Association (Div 2) league will resume on Saturday at the Railways Sports Club with Little Prince leading the standings in the men’s Zone A category with 39 points after 21 matches after just 3 losses.
Their latest win came courtesy of Neo Sasa Morans whom they beat 32-29 last Sunday. They are followed by Zetech College and Barclays Bank Eagles who are level on 36 points.Zetech has won 15 of its 21 matches while Eagles have won 17 of its 19 matches.
In 4th place there is Don Bosco (35 points) while Neo Sasa Morans and JKUAT Juja Campus follow respectively sharing 31 points. JKUAT’s recent win came on Sunday when they managed to beat Woodley Knights 68-35. Another pair of team sharing points is Mt. Kenya University and Dolphins who both have 28 points. Both teams have won 8 matches wining 8, losing 12 but Dolphins forfeited one of its matches. Woodley Knights are placed 9th with 25 points with Athi River based Saints in tow with 23 points. High School students Upper Hill and King Deaf are the last two teams in Zone A with Upper Hill having 22 points from 5 wins from 17 matches and King Deaf (20 points) winning only one of their 19 matches.
In Zone B Strathmore ‘Blades’ lead with 41 points after losing only one of their 21 matches. Strathmore who humiliated JKUAT Karen campus on Sunday thrashing them 102-31 are followed by Equity which is yet to lose in NBA league. Equity coached by Radhi Ndalu has a 20/20 performance and if they continue with their winning streak they are guaranteed a place in the Play-offs. Baraka Extreme (37 points) are at 3rd place after despite their loss to Kenya Poly over the weekend going down 50-46. Old Pirates are at 4th with 33 points after 13 wins and 7 losses.
Multi Media University, Legacy, Daystar University and Mt. Kenya University Nairobi campus all share 32 points and are position at 5, 6,7 and 8 respectively. MMU has won 14 of its 21 matches, Legacy winning 11 matches after playing the same number as MMU. Daystar and MKU Nairobi have played 22 matches with both teams winning 22 of those.
Kenya Poly has 26 points placed at 9th position with Our Lady of Mercy at 10th position with the same number of points. The last three teams in the Zone B are Heroes, F.O.B Kenya and JKUAT Karen. Heroes has 26 points while F.O.B and JKUAT share 21 points.
