Kenya: Eagle Wings Swing Back Into the League Basketball Fray

FIBA Africa Zone Five champions Eagle Wings return to league action as they take on Gladiators at Nyayo National Stadium gymnasium tomorrow. The self supporting side who walloped rivals Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) 77-54 in the regional final in Kampala, Uganda over the weekend should easily bag the two points. National men's champions Co-operative Bank of Kenya who beat Ulinzi Warriors 63-49, tackle Thunder.
The soldiers will also have a date with Blazers while KPA men's side are in town for two tight fixtures against Strathmore University and Thunder. The students recovered to beat Thunder 57-55 after going down 66-72 to Mennonites. Lakeside travel to Kakamega to play Masinde Muliro University of Agriculture and Technology (MMUST). Co-op Bank women side play Peninah Nthenya's propelled Safe Spaces in a game coming at the heels of a 59-22 demolition of Mennonites where Emma Nyakweba and Linda Alando starred.
In the lower division, Kenya College of Accountancy more University had 10 from Joyce Masiga in a 49-34 win over Mennonites. Angela Luchivya buried 11 points to guide Sprite storms to a 50-36 win over Safe Spaces. Nairobi Aviation College (NAC) play Kenyatta University Pirates who also have a date with Umoja. Kenya College of Accountancy (KCA) meet World Hope while leaders Nakuru Club meet Trailblazers who beat World Hope 59-52.
