Kenya: Coast Basketball League Action Resumes Today in Mombasa

Coast Basketball League resumes today after last weekend's break following the chaos that rocked Mombasa after the death of Muslim activist Sheikh Aboud Rogo. All the 17 participants are expected to be in action following restoration of peace within the town. CBA chairman Ali Hilmy said the fixtures could change to make up for the lost time after last weekend's break.
A total of six matches were cancelled last weekend and the organisers will no doubt brainstorm to come up with ways of making it up for the lost time. This weekend, Kenyatta University face Kiembeni Hits in the first match (9am), Coastal Kings face Wazee (10:30 am) and Buxton Hawks play Mtopanga Hits.
Other matches will see Congo Nets play Tumaini Takers, Oceanears take on Gorofani and Kisauni Kings face Makupa Lakers. He said the move to postpone last weekend's matches was likely to affect the league calendar that had initially been slated to wind up in October. He said there is a possibility of pushing the fixtures to November unless there are make up matches.
