UGANDA : Zone 5 tips-off today amid controversy

The waiting could be finally over. The FIBA Africa Zone 5 Club Championships will tip off this afternoon at Lugogo Indoor Stadium (MTN Arena) with three opening day fixtures, each involving a Ugandan team.
Local women's side KCCA Leopards play Berco
Stars from Burundi at 4:00pm. The fixtures comes earlier than the official openning ceremony.
The men's game will follow between teams that have never won this Championship, Kyambogo Warriors and Espoir from Rwanda. 2010 Regional champions, Eagle Wings will play local champions UCU Lady Canons in the final game of the day at 9:00pm.
Earlier on Sunday, there were strong rumours that MTN had blocked FUBA from baranding the stadium.
Speaking to Daily Monitor, Anthony Katamba, MTN's legal and cooperate affairs manager, also National Council of Sports chairman confirmed that he stopped FUBA from branding the facility.
"I can confirm, i did stop FUBA from branding the venue" Katamba told Daily Monitor. However, the federation shares a different position.
"The branding rights of MTN do not bar us from bringing another sponsor on board. Temporary adverts of the sponsor have to be at the facility" Patrick Ogwel, FUBA's vice president told Kawowo Sports
