KIU Titans Vs Ndejje Angels 8:30PM - MUK Grounda
Unlike the first round when KIU Titans won the first three games, the second leg has been a hard nut to crack. The university side lost the first two game of the second round of the Airtel National Basketball League to fellow university outfits, 44-59 to UCU Canons and 48-51 to Victoria University Heaters and the Titans were second in all vital areas of the game. However, Titans (10-4) sought redemption against Rez Life last Sunday and got off the wire with a 64-38 win over the new comers who are yet to win a game this season.
KIU Titans will be back on court this evening against another university side, Ndejje Angels. Angels (6-8) have slipped in all their last three outings, 41-50 to eagles, 64-90 to Power and 36-46 to Heaters and the start of the second round.
Ndejje were the first to show KIU are a beatable opponent when they handed Titans their first loss of the season. Angels edged Titans 55-50 in that game KIU will have to deal with Geoffrey Soro and Micheal Opolot to have an edge but Ndejje has more to deal with. Angels have to shut out Francis Kasekende, Salim Ali and center, Michael Makiadi as well as Moses Olobo who drops in points from the background.
Meanwhile KIU’s lady side, Rangers will be up against MUK Sparks. KIU beat another MUK side, Cubs 75-13 last weekend and are hoping to build on. Sparks were edged out by A1 Challenge 42-37 last Friday after playing hard all game till garbage time when A1 slipped away.
