D'Mark Power star and two-time National Basketball MVP player Ben Komakech sent out a warning to teammates ahead of today’s game against South Sudan in the second day of the week long FIBA Zone V championship.
“They have many tall players, and what we need to do is to move the ball fi rst, run them out and fi nally take our chances,” Komakech sent a notice to teammates.
Yesterday the event, sponsored by Sprite and IAA hospital, had a colourful opening ceremony followed by high levels of performances from various clubs.
The Local champions Power will be in action in today’s last encounter at 10pm in the Lugogo Indoor Arena in Kampala.
Last year, Power fell at the group stage. Komakech called for team work in order to avoid the same embarrassment they faced in last year’s edition.
“I do not see us losing, we have prepared well for the championship and the good news is we do not have any injuries. But the fact is, I see a tough game today, to win we have to work as a team and give in our best as individuals,” he added.
