Nigeria's fairy tale start to the basketball event of the London Olympic Games with a heart warming win over Tunisia on Sunday, was brutally ended Tuesday afternoon when D'Tigers were comprehensively outclassed by European powerhouse, Lithuania 72-53.
The Nigerians were just no match for the nation ranked 5th in the world and never posed a threat in the four quarters of the game.
Although qualifying for the tournament itself was a major achievement, the draw did the Nigerians no favour at all pitting them in the same group containing Lithuania, France, Tunisia and tournament favourites and defending champions, Team USA
