UGANDA : Canons -Titans to open the Airtel NBL second round


Canons -Titans to open the Airtel NBL second roundLocal Basketball governing body FUBA has confirmed that the second round of the Airtel National Basketball League will start next Friday, July 13. University sides UCU Canons and KIU Titans will face off in the opening fixture of the second round schedule in the men's top division at YMCA. KIU topped UCU in the first leg and held them to a season low 42 points and 4 points in a quarter.


 
MUK Sparks and Magic Stormers will open the women's division second round schedule on the same day. Sparks lost to Magic 34-49 in the first leg. Meanwhile two players have been handed suspensions for their indiscipline actions. Richard Ongom (Vegetarian) has been handed a one year suspension and Abel Emwodu (Livingstone, div 3A) recieved a 4 game suspension, FUBA competitions council chairman, Joseph Manano said.
