NIGERIA : Dstv B/League Super 8 Final Dunks Off Monday
After a long wait, the DSTV Basketball League Super 8 finals will dunk off Monday July 23 at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National stadium, Lagos.
In an elaborate pre-event media briefing in Lagos, John Ugbe representing the sponsors of the league, MultiChoice Nigeria said the organisation was committed to the competition and believed it will create the necessary platform for players and coaches to showcase their talents to the entire world.
Still relishing in the qualification for the Olympics by the national male basketball team, Ugbe who is the managing director of the company said, "this is the time to show the world that Nigerian basketball has arrived."
Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, Babs Ogunmade disclosed that teams will start arriving Lagos July 21st while play begins on Monday, 23.
The competition which will feature three matches each day will be beamed live to the rest of the world.
