KENYA : Flames smoke KPA in the City

By DENNIS MACHIO
USIU Flames on Friday took maximum advantage of their home ground to pounce on former champions KPA with a calm 58-42 victory while their men counterparts also posted a win against KPA men though with a slim margin of 69-65.
Once again as has been the same trend this season, last season’s most popular player Hilda Indasi powered the Flames with a 20 points charge that annihilated the visitors and not even the attempts by former KBF MVP Hellen Oketch who posted 16 points could salvage the girls from Mombasa.
KPA last weekend beat Eagle Wings in Nairobi and it had been expected they will extend the same form on Friday but USIU had other thoughts as they have vowed to keep their eye on the crown at the end of the season. The Flames lead the table after going unbeaten so far.
