The KCB Lions are ready to take on defending champions Co-op bank on Friday evening at the Nyayo Stadium Gymnasium in a much anticipated league match.
The two teams both opened their 2012 season with wins as Co-op bank beat university side Masinde Muliro University last Sunday and KCB triumphed over another university side UON Terrorists the same day.
Morris Shitsama the Lions assistant coach is optimistic that they will be able to beat the reigning champions in the hottest duel of the KBF league, “this is always a fierce match but this time round we want to take the championship and it must start as early as no. We have prepared well and it is now up to the players to execute what we have practiced but I am hopeful that we shall beat them. This match has come at a good time since both teams have only played one game in the league.’

Meanwhile Co-op bank tactician Carry Odhiambo is a relaxed man and will approach the match just as any other game,

“I don’t see it as a tense match and we shall play as we always do and winning is what we want.”
In terms of preparation, Odhiambo said, “in our last game we had a problem with our defense but we have addressed it and I don’t see any problem in tomorrow’s match. I assure you that the fans will enjoy the match.’ Odhiambo concluded.
