KENYA : Eagle Wings dismiss debutants Safe Spaces

Kenya Basketball Defending champions Eagle Wings on Tuesday opened their title defense campaign on a winning note after dismissing debutants Safe Spaces with a comfortable 83-43 victory.
Last season’s Most Valuable Player Samba Mjomba fresh from guiding Nairobi City to retain their Inter Cities title in Kampala last weekend was on top of the scoring chart alongside Silalei Shani and Rebecca Sarange.
“It is promising to start the season on a winning note and we are determined to go all the way. The season is fresh and it could be too early to predict the end but as a team we are more than committed to ensure w e have a smooth 2012 including retaining the title at the end of it.” Said Samba.

Eagle Wings next play Cooperative Bank on Friday night at the Nyayo national gymnasium.
