UGB 53-71 Ferwaba
Rusizi 50- 58 Espoir

SATURDAY’S 71-53 win over UGB proves that Ferwaba Select is on the right track ahead of next month’s Afrobasket U-18 Kagame Cup.

The youngsters trailed UGB at half time (29-31) but a spectacular second half display masterminded by Shooting guard Patrice Twagirayezu secured the team their third successive league win.

Twagirayezu, who was practically unstoppable in the third and fourth quarter, scored a game high 25points.
Ferwaba head coach Paris Nelson is thrilled with the progress but is not getting carried away.
“The boys responded well in the third and fourth quarter which shows mental strength in the team,” the American tactician said.

In the other fixture, Espoir upset hosts Rusizi 58-50.
